Still remember our post a few weeks ago about our program for nursery school.
Here we post back about developments today .where we’ve made 656 seedlings in SMP N 2 School Sibolangit with details of 424 seedlings of durian (Durio zibethinus), 22 seedling of sugar palm (Arenga pinnata) ,12 seedling of Soursop (Annona muricata ) , 30 seedling of lanzones (Lansium parasiticum) and 168 seedling of bullet wood (Mimusops elengi). We will continue to add to the target 2000-3000 seeds later.
Once the seedlings are mature enough to be planted in the ground, they will be planted in locations around the school as a legacy for future students. Extra seedlings will be planted in degraded forests in our north Sumatra work areas where they will become a future source of food for wildlife.Specially in Sibolangit forest that total area 25.000 hectares forest in Sibolangit that we would like plan in participate to protect it.
Let these children lead the way for conservation in Indonesia.
