A few months ago the ISCP team conducted an awareness campaign in the Sibolangit region, North Sumatra. Today a villager from Derek, near Sibolangit, handed over a slow loris that he had kept as a pet for 1 month to ISCP and the Wildlife Authority.
The sex of the slow loris is male and for the time being we will rehabilitate it at ISCP center. We are currently awaiting receipt of a transmitter collar which we hope to receive this December, so that the slow loris can be released into the wild after rehabilitation.
